GRANT GUIDELINES

The Believing for Bryleigh Foundation is set up to support a wide range of needs for children with leukodystrophies and for non-profit agencies supporting children with leukodystrophies, but we do have certain guidelines in place to help ensure that our funding is appropriately used, and that it is granted in accordance with Federal laws governing foundation giving. So, if you are considering a submission to The Believing for Bryleigh Foundation, please consider the following guidelines.

  • The Foundation awards grants to individuals that qualify as well as organizations that are exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation will not award grants to for-profit organizations.

  • In keeping with the Foundation's mission, grants are primarily awarded to families that have a child diagnosed with a leukodystrophy that are facing financial hardships in caring for that child.  Funding provided to individuals that qualify will be used to directly meet specific needs within their family such as food, shelter, medical equipment, nursing care and medical bills.

  • The Foundation's Board of Directors meets throughout the year and will consider grant requests as they are received.

  • The Foundation typically awards an individual or an agency only one grant per year. Grant recipients must re-apply each year.

To be considered for a grant as an individual/family, the following information is required when applying:
